A Splattered Journey

Hello all!

To the many, few, or just myself who read these lines; I welcome you to this space and thank you for taking a pause throughout the day. This is my blog, open to be filled with thoughts, ideas, mishaps, and stories about what I do (or attempt to do) as a plein air painter.

If you care to follow this splattered journey with me, come along! I promise it will be colorful, kind, and a different way of looking at things.

Here is my first blog painting!

I call it Morning Moon because this is what I first saw and gazed at in the early hours one morning while setting up my easel. It was captivating and quieted my mind, which is a rarity for many in the world right now. How do you find this quiet, I wonder?

Quiet is an easy word to define, yet it’s versatility is hard to grasp. The quiet I’m describing can be found in focusing on the present moment, which is one thing that plein air forces me to do.

So I wish you a moment of this quietness today.

Have a colorful day.
