Farewell, Winter!

Hello all!

Yes, it was a long and cold winter, but the cold made us pause and appreciate the colors in the sky.

Sometimes it’s hard for me to articulate different things in the moment. Paint can be a way I find my voice at times; it’s composing a manuscript of brush strokes that relate and tell a story together. Sometimes it’s beautiful and sometimes it’s a terrible mess!

But painting in snow is always one of my favorite stories to tell. The dunes on Presque Isle beg to be painted each winter. They turn our beach into an Antarcticlike land that is fascinating to look at.
